I had a great Easter trip to a small onsen hotel near Kagoshima. The hot spring was fantastic, with great water quality, comfortable saunas, and spacious outdoor baths. The hotel also offers a low-priced breakfast, which was simple yet satisfying. The location is quite secluded, but it's only a short drive from the city. I particularly enjoyed the view of the nearby river from my room.

The hotel has a good hospitality despite being a public facility, and the hot springs surpassed expectations. the rooms are Western-style with twin beds, a bathroom with a washlet, and a window with a view of the river. the hot springs have a sauna and an outdoor bath, and there is also a spacious bathing area. the breakfast is inexpensive and satisfying.

There are limited attractions in the surrounding area.

The hotel had some positives like good room service and a pretty location. the breakfast was also quite good based on the low, cost of our stay. the hot springs were a surprise highlight, and felt really good on a chilly Christmas morning. the sauna and open, air baths were quite comfy and the tubs themselves were spacious.

We were really disappointed at how early the facilities closed every day, and there wasn't much else to do around the area , it was really a letdown after paying quite a bit to stay here.
